Can you roll a easton s1

During a game where my daughter was pitching, this young lady using a rolled bat hit a ball back at my daughter and hit her in the face. While we attended to my child on the field, the dad grabbed this bat and took off running to his car and spead off.

He knew that we could not prove which bat was used once he left the field. Others on this site will now chime in and comment about how it is fine. Greatly missed by so many! The Uncoach.

They're rolling coach pitch bats even? It's ridiculous at any level, let alone against the rules in most reputable organizations. Originally posted by The Glovedoctor View Post.

Last edited by tg ; , PM. Wow, forget it. I really had no idea. Nothing trumps hard work - the guy made it sound like the bat would break in one way or the other. Seems like it is a softball thing adults looking for an easy advantage. Never looking for shortcuts, I am glad I asked!

I've seen nothing to make me believe rolling does anything that a lot of use wouldn't accomplish, just faster and more efficient. However, it is generally considered "altering" a bat and, thus, illegal. From a more practical point, though, unlike shaving a bat, nothing about the bat is altered in a way that you could tell it was rolled. You can't see the effects and there is no test.

No way you could tell. When bat rolling first showed up, it was quite common for people to charge for bat rolling and do nothing more than receive your bat in the mail, hold it for a couple of days, and send it back.

It should feel very light and easy to swing for him. We suggest a break in period of to hits of a soft toss or a tee. Rotate the bat a quarter of a inch, to ensure an even break in and always use real, leather baseballs. My son is 5 foot tall, lbs and 9 years old. He is a very strong kid. He has been using a 31" 19 oz. Since it is a one-piece alloy bat. If his more of a line drive, contact hitter I would go with the Easton S1 Youth. My son tried a bat last which must be the same or close to the YB13S1 very similar to this bat.

It was an Easton except it was a YB11S1. He really liked it. Is it still available or is this the replacement and what might be the difference if the YB11S1 isn't available?

The new YB13S1 is basically the same bat, only it features a more durable composite in the handle. Even an opposing coach commented on how dead the bat sounds.

Purchased in mid march, Any suggestions? He has resorted to using a teammates hybrid Voodoo and a composite TPX that both yield much better results. How does this compare to the new Voodoo? Which one would you recommend for a stronger 9 year old? The Easton S1: YB13S1 Youth is a two-piece composite bat that is very balanced, while the Voodoo is a two-piece with a composite handle and alloy barrel that is more end loaded.

For a strong, power hitter, the end loaded Voodoo would be a good fit. My son uses a Vexxum 29" 18 oz. He is a line drive contact hitter playing 12U. We are considering the Easton S1, but do not want to overlook the XL1. How does the Vexxum compare to the S1 and XL1 balanced v. The Easton XL1 is an end loaded bat. Both bats are balanced weight and have good bat speed, which will help with making solid contact. My son is 10, and about 5' tall. He weighs around 86 lbs. He has a XL1 30" 20 oz.

He finds it too heavy. He uses his friend's XL3 30" 19 oz. Would the S1 be a good option for him or would another bat? The S1 will be very light in swing weight and have a very balanced feel compared to the XL-Series. The XL-Series will have a barrel heaviness to the swing weight. I'm trying to see what would be the best bat for my son. He's a little guy but can hit it to the outfield almost everytime.

He's swinging a 28" 16 oz. Louisville Slugger composite but doesnt like it. He's almost nine and is 50 inches and 58 pounds. What size bat is good for him? I'm looking for one he can use next year too. Thanks mom. It is very balanced and is best for a smaller player.

The Easton XL1 is an end loaded bat and is better suited for a power hitter. Based on his height and weight we recommend a 28" 16 oz. He is 8 years old. He makes solid contact but we are looking for something to give him more power. He is swinging a 29" 16 oz. Easton Rival now. Yet, I would recommend the XL-Series if you are trying to add some power to his contact.

It will have a barrel heavy, end loaded feel to the swing weight. Both bats would be great for the youth hitter. Are you going to make a new bat in the Power Brigade Series in ? Easton is scheduled to release their bats August 30, Just got my son an S1.

Do you have a recommendation for a bat to use in the cages? Some around town have the "yellow" balls and i know we should not use this bat with them. Would any bat the same length and weight work? Looking for something less costly that may swing similar or have same balanced feel. I want to order a new bat for my 10 year old grandson, but have a few questions. He has very quick hands but has been hitting a lot of grounders lately. Last year he was hitting far more doubles and triples.

He is 72 lbs. His current bat is a Combat B4 29" 19 oz. He went to a store and was swinging an Easton XL1, but feels it might be a bit heavy. I know the XL1 is end loaded and for power hitters. I'm considering ordering him the Easton S1, 30" 18 oz. The S1 is a lighter and more balanced bat than the XL1. I'm thinking about going with the 30" S1 it might make the weight seem a little more like his Combat, yet give him a little more balanced bat.

Feedback please. It will be more balanced and help him achieve better bat speeds than the XL1. The 30" 18 oz. At his size the 30" bat length is recommended. I am 10 years old, 80 lbs, and 4'10". I have been using an Easton S1 29" 17 oz.

I have an extremely fast swing speed, and it feels too light in my hands. I used my friends 30" 20 oz. XL1 in a game and ripped a double ft. Which bat should I use?

If you are able to comfortable swing the Easton XL1, then you should use that bat. The XL1 offers a little extra power because of the end-loaded weight. What are the advantages and disadvantages of a full composite bat like this over a half and half bat like the Easton S2?

The composite material acts as a trampoline. The more the bat is used the further the ball will travel. The Easton S2 will be game ready. My 12 year old son is a contact hitter who is looking to develop power.

What bat should he look at in the Easton series? Why is it bad to hit yellow, dimple balls with this bat? The dimpled balls can be more dense and damage your bat. I would stick to hitting against real baseballs with the S1. Which way should I choose for the most contact possible? Pit Pat Putter. The choice will come down to personal preference of bat. How much shorter is the barrel on the S2 than the barrel on the S1?

Killer B. Additionally, the S1 is going to have all of the most up-to-date certifications, including the newest USSSA stamp, while the Quantum has the older stamps.

My son is 7 years old, 4' 4", and 73 lbs. Do u think the 29" 17 oz. A 28" Easton S1: YB13S1 Youth would be the correct size, but the 29" would alloy him to grow into it a little more.

My son is an 8 years old. He is 4'4" and 64 lbs. I am looking at an S2 30" 17 oz. Is that bat appropriate for him?

I swing a CF5, 30" 19 oz. I am 11 years old and 4'11", should I get the 30" 18 oz. I am 4'8" and 77 lbs. My son just turned He's 5 foot tall and weighs lbs. Which size bat do you recommend? Try using our bat coach in the link provided, this is a great tool to size up any baseball or softball player perfectly. I'm 11 4 foot What do I need?

Is there going to be a new Power Brigade and if there is, when? Easton is expected to release their new line August 1st. I am 10 years old, 5 feet, and 79 pounds. What length and weight bat should I use? The weight of that model will be 18 ounces. I'm 5 ft. I'm a strong hitter and am looking for longer sweet spot. Which would be best for me? The XL1 or the S1? And what size should I use? All - Star. The XL1 would offer an extended barrel and sweet spot, but it features a slightly end loaded swing weight that a power hitter would utilize most-effectively.

Based on results from our Bat Coach tool, we would recommend a 31" model. What is the difference between the Easton S1 and S1? Which is the better bat to purchase? The Easton S1 or XL1? Both are great bats. The Easton S1 is a balanced bat that is designed more for a contact hitter, whereas the Easton XL1 is more end loaded for a power hitter. Which is better for a line drive hitter? Wnsl stars. They are both good options for a contact hitter. I'm 11 years old and 5' 4" and 76 lbs.

Should I get the 31" 19 oz. My brother is 12, next year he will be in the majors. Will he be able to use this bat at that level? Which is a better bat for a contact hitter, this or the Demarini Cf5? What does the "CXN" stand for with regards to the performance of the bat?

CXN is the connector that holds Easton's two-piece bats together and efficiently guides the transfer of energy from the handle to barrel to ball. This design also helps eliminate vibration. When does the Easton Mako come out? Is there going to be a Youth version? It will feel balanced like the Easton S1. It will have the larger barrel size of the XL-Series. As for youth sizes, I am unsure as of now. My son played In 10 to 12 yo majors. He's been using an Easton Reflex 29" 16 oz.

He's is a contact hitter, lots of line drives up the middle. Would a YB13S1 30" 18 oz be okay for next year? He's 4'10" and 87 Lbs and will be 11 next season.

Based on his height and weight we recommend the 30" 18 oz. It is a very balanced at and performs very well. I'm a power hitter, 4' 8", and 75 lbs. I use a DeMarini VX2 31" 19 oz. I'm not sure if the S1 or S2 is better suited for me. Since the Easton S1: YB13S1 Youth is all composite it is going to stay at its peak performance longer, so the Easton S1 will be the better choice for you.

Both the Easton S1 and XL1 are top of the line bats. The XL1 will have an end loaded swing weight and is better suited for power hitters.

The S1 will have a balanced swing weight and is better suited for contact hitters. What is the difference between the S1 and S2? The Easton S2 is a two-piece bat with a composite handle and an alloy barrel. I am 11 years old and weigh 70 lbs. I am 4'5" tall. I make contact all the time and I want to hit the ball further.

What Bat size and type should I use? We would recommend a 30" model for your height and weight. Is it a two piece? Jake the snake. Does the XL1 have a lot of pop for a 10 year old? The Easton S1: YB13S1 Youth is a top of the line bat and will be one of the better performing models on the market. What month and day will the Easton XL1 bat available?

Easton's XL1 Youth will be available September 1st, Does it need braking in? Some people say no, others say yes. The Easton S1: YB13S1 Youth should require some break-in as it is a composite bat, however all bats are different. We recommend swings off of a tee or soft toss to break in a composite bat. Is the S1 is going to be better than S1? The only difference are the graphics. Will there be a Youth XL1 Easton bat? There will be a Easton XL Youth model. Is there going to be a youth XL1 Easton bat?

Yes, there will be a Easton XL1 youth. My son is 11 years old, 5' 5", and weighs pounds. I am 5' tall and 90 lbs. What size would be right for me? What are the barrel length differences of of the S1 and S2? The Easton S1: YB13S1 Youth typically runs slightly larger in the barrel, approximately a half inch, depending on which length you're looking at. My son is in Little League and is 4'5" 80 lbs and a good contact hitter with some power. Which one would you recommend? They both will also have the same two-piece fully composite design.

Either would be a fantastic choice for a youth hitter. My son is lbs 56" tall, he will be 11 in the spring. He used the Easton Quantum 28" 16 oz last year and does not have a fast swing. I have been trying to decide what bat and what size to go with. I have been debating between the S1 or the S2. And I was thinking 30" bat. What do you recommend? Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 30" model.

The Easton S2 is a two-piece hybrid design with a composite handle and alloy barrel and will not require any break-in time. My son is 10 years old 5 feet tall and weighs about pounds. What is the best bat size for him? My son is 12 years old. He is 5'4" and weighs around pounds.

I like the Easton bats but do not know which one to get. The S1 looks good for him. What size and weight would be right for him? I'm researching a composite baseball bat for my 11 yr old son, who plays for a competitive traveling team and wonder what the difference is between the Easton series S1, S2, S3, XL, XL1, XL3, etc?
